I love Kamehameha Schools. I love this awesome legacy that Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop has left behind for her Hawaiian people.
This evening, I celebrated with my 'ohana, Kauanoe's "graduation" from Explorations!
In one week, Hawaiian children from all over THE WORLD have come to participate and learn about their culture in this very educational program. It's truly a great opportunity of learning and meeting other new students.
Here we find Mokulele taking a ride on the Rhino Express! I take advantage of these moments whenever I can. Let's face it folks, in a few months, this little boy is going to be not so little anymore. I cherish that I can still piggy back him!!!
I even ran into my bride, the new Mrs. Kam, who was also there for her niece and nephew.
As a an alumni of Kamehameha Schools, she shared with me how proud she is of her alma mater and the fantastic opportunities and resources the school provides for her students. Something that one can truly take for granted until you return and realize what a privilege it is to be a part of something historic and culturally empowering.
Congratulations to all the Explorations students, staff, teachers and administrators!!!
IMUA, Kamehameha!!!
